——Key components to ensure the safety and efficiency of underground operations
Hydraulic Control Lines:
High-performance coiled tubing solutions for downhole safety valves and chemical injection in oilfields. Featuring laser-welded stainless steel and nickel alloys (625/825) with lengths up to 50,000ft for extreme environments.
Hydraulic control line are used for underground safety valve execution, packer setting, layered flow control, and chemical injection. Coiled tubing form with fewer joints and lower probability of leakage. Can be deployed with a small radius, suitable for deep wells and complex well trajectories. Compared with straight pipes, the laying efficiency is higher, maintenance is more convenient, and downtime is shorter.
The selection of materials should prioritize the medium and working conditions. 316L can be selected for regular environments. For environments without oxides but high chloride content, 2205 or 2507 are recommended. Acidic conditions containing hydrogen sulfide or carbon dioxide are more suitable for nickel alloys 625 or 825. It is necessary to comprehensively check the project specifications and acceptance terms based on temperature, pressure, chloride ion and H2S partial pressure. The goal is to balance resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion, and yield strength.
The manufacturing process determines stability. The industry generally adopts laser welding combined with cold drawing and bright annealing. The weld energy is concentrated, the heat affected zone is small, and the size consistency is better. Quality control should include 100% material identification, online eddy current, size and surface testing. The pressure test is conducted using air pressure or water pressure. Conventional up to 5000psi, and harsh scenarios up to 15000psi.
MTSCO provides long-term supply of control lines, coiled tubing, and capillary tubing. Our own Siri Tubing uses laser welding and cold drawing processes to perform 100% PMI and online eddy current testing, with a standard pressure of 5000psi and a maximum pressure of 15000psi. Covering 304, 316, 2205, 2507 and nickel based alloys 625, 825. The length of a single disk can reach 50000ft, and it supports third-party inspection and full process traceability through ISO and PED systems.
