The well-known super duplex steel 2507, in the industry is a high-performance seamless pipe designed specifically for harsh industrial environments. This standard covers seamless ferritic and austenitic stainless steel pipes used for general services.

Compared to ordinary duplex steel 2205, 2507 contains higher levels of chromium (25%), molybdenum (4%), and nickel (7%). This unique chemical composition gives it extremely high mechanical strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Its corrosion resistance equivalent (PREN) is usually greater than 41, which makes it highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride, seawater, and acidic media. Therefore, it is widely used in seawater desalination systems, offshore oil and gas platforms, chemical process pipelines, and high-efficiency heat exchangers.
