Why bother with 100% pressure testing?

Within the Siri Tubing quality system, 100% hydraulic testing serves as the critical benchmark for qualifying welded coiled tubing. Deviating from the industry-standard random sampling, we conduct full-length online pressure holding tests on every reel of 2507 super duplex steel coiled tubing before it leaves the factory.

Siri Tubing’s maximum testing pressure reaches 100 MPa (15,000 PSI), a value that significantly exceeds the general requirements of API and ASTM standards. This ensures absolute reliability of the tubing under extreme conditions such as deep-sea high pressure and downhole environments. We provide a safety barrier that surpasses standard requirements, substantially reducing operational risks and maintenance costs at project sites.

Q1: Do you provide external encapsulation services for the tubing?

A1: Yes. We offer a variety of encapsulation material options, including PVC, PE, and PVDF. These coatings are designed to enhance the wear resistance and corrosion protection of control lines in complex subsea environments.

Q2: What is the maximum working pressure of the coiled tubing? 

A2: Our welded coiled tubing undergoes a conventional hydraulic test pressure of 5,000 PSI, with the capability to withstand a maximum test pressure of 15,000 PSI, meeting the majority of high-pressure application requirements. The actual working pressure is calculated based on specific material grade, wall thickness, and operating temperature. MTSCO provides professional technical support for parameter selection.

Q3: How is the quality of the coiled tubing inspected? 

A3: We implement a triple-stage inspection system: PMI testing of raw materials, full traceability of the production process, and 100% pre-shipment high-pressure testing combined with Eddy Current Testing (ET). All welded coiled tubing must pass rigorous airtightness tests, with complete inspection records and photographs archived. MTSCO supports on-site inspections by authoritative third-party agencies to ensure zero-defect delivery for every batch.
