——Corrosion resistance and high-pressure control scheme in harsh oil and gas environments

The working environment of oil wells is extremely harsh, generally facing the influence of high temperature, high pressure, and strong corrosive media such as hydrogen sulfide and high chloride. In such cases, the material properties and reliability of control lines or capillary tubes used for hydraulic control or chemical injection are crucial.
Inconel 825 is a high-performance nickel alloy that has become the preferred material for such demanding applications due to its comprehensive corrosion resistance. Alloy 825 contains a high proportion of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and copper. It can effectively resist comprehensive pitting and crevice corrosion, especially strong resistance to acidic gas environments containing sulfur and chloride, and it can effectively prevent stress corrosion cracking.
As an underground control pipeline, the alloy 825 capillary tube must maintain consistent performance over a length of thousands of meters and withstand extremely high internal hydraulic pressure. MTSCO focuses on producing Alloy 825 control lines through its own factory —Siri Tubing, established in 2024. We use advanced processes such as 100% laser welding and bright annealing to ensure that our products have excellent mechanical properties and surface smoothness.
The coil length of Siri tubing can reach up to 50000 fts/reel, and all products have passed 100% high-pressure testing, capable of withstanding pressures up to 15000psi. These high-performance pipelines have been successfully applied in harsh environments such as deep sea and underground, providing safe and reliable downhole control solutions for global oilfield service customers such as OXY and ADNOC.
