How Are Our Seamless Pipes Made?

The manufacturing of seamless pipes requires multi-pass cold rolling processes to achieve precise dimensional tolerances. For Super Duplex Stainless Steel, the critical step is the final Solution Annealing. It is mandatory to precisely control the temperature and ensure rapid cooling to prevent the precipitation of harmful Sigma phases, thereby guaranteeing the material's corrosion resistance. This is followed by pickling and passivation to remove scale and restore surface resistance. MTSCO's production line is equipped with advanced annealing furnaces and pickling tanks, capable of continuous solution treatment for pipes up to 12 meters in length, ensuring the product performs optimally in harsh environments.

How Do We Guarantee Absolute Quality?

Given the critical application of Super Duplex material in seawater, we implement a comprehensive, full-coverage inspection process. Post-production, we utilize Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or Eddy Current Testing (ET) to scan the pipe body, precisely eliminating invisible subsurface cracks and inclusions. This is followed by 100% PMI test to verify the content of key elements like Nickel, Molybdenum, and Nitrogen, ensuring the phase balance complies with ASTM A790. Regarding physical properties, every pipe must pass a hydrostatic test exceeding the design pressure to verify leak tightness. We also use high-precision tools for dimensional verification.
